As a choreographer, I have 3 main goals: to evoke feeling from my audience, connect authentically to the dance genre that I am making and I follow through on my concept. Quite frankly, choreography is my number one passion in dance- making dance comes the easiest. When I choreograph to particular dance styles, I am a purist- I consider the history, the foundation, the cultural nuances and the rules of that particular movement style. While creating, I have to make sure that I am satisfied with the work, and the dancers feel confident executing the work and understand its intention.
